Maybe you also know it from your own experience: You wallow in your bed at night and couldn’t find sleep. There isn’t a chance to fall asleep, even if you went to bed very tiredly. You are worrying about the next day.
Other people are falling fast to sleep, but they wake up in the night and need a few hours to fall asleep again. Both problems have the same effect: during daylight you are tired, unconcentrated and cranky.
Try to find a healthy day-night-rhythm again. There is also the problem that people like car driver or worker endanger not only themselves, also the people around them.
These are consequences of chronic insomnia:
- Daytime fatigue
- excitability
- problems with concentration
- Lack of capacity
- increased risk for work and car accidents
- stomach trouble
- high blood pressure
- Heart- and circulation diseases
- weakened immune system
- early symptoms of old age
The first five symptoms become noticeable only after one night with sleeping problems, the other ones have an effect after longer periods.
